- 本车基于中国标准动车组技术平台和2015年中国铁路总公司关于卧铺动车组统型技术要求，唐车版高速纵向动卧的车体、牵引、制动、网络、转向架等关键系统采用中国标准动车组成熟的技术方案和设计结构，并在数量和布置上进行适应性调整，重点就旅客界面进行改革创新，即通过卧铺包间创新性的纵向交错式布置，实现一人独立空间：单独的车窗、茶桌、电源等功能和设施齐备。
- 09车为软卧/餐车，采用统型横向卧铺包间，定员20人；
- 头车和其他中间车设新型纵向交错布置式卧铺，头车定员40人，其他中间车定员60人；
- 在每节车上设一台逆变器，由DC110V系统逆变获得电能，输出 AC220V 50Hz电源提供给旅客插座，该电源仅供单车使用，不贯穿整列车。
